Awestruck

At the beauty that surrounds me

You can’t make this stuff up

So true story: Yesterday, while sitting at a public access computer on campus, the kid sitting next to me managed to turn off the power strip that my computer was plugged into, WITH HIS FOOT. He then proceeds to look confused, finds the power strip and turns it back on before running away. He doesn’t say a word and by the time I realize that this sudden blackout is his fault it is to late to yell at him. Oh well. I then spent the next five minutes restarting my computer and trying to retrieve the documents I was working on. I also made sure to move the power strip back a bit and behind the table lag, just to make sure no more oblivious morons make the same mistake. So frustrating. Yet funny. I was glad that I wasn’t working on something supper important or I might have been really mad. But I was able to laugh it off and I didn’t even come up with any clever remarks for the “what if” scenario. Aren’t you proud of me? Just another day in the life.

In other news, I miss Ireland. I particularly miss their tea. I had about five cups today and let me tell you, American tea can’t hold a candle to the “real” stuff. Barry’s Gold blend, I miss you, come back to me soon.
